How to Use

A second cleanse and a first cleanse serve fundamentally different purposes. Where the Cleansing Balm dissolves oil-soluble impurities using the principle of like-dissolves-like, Cleansing Foam removes what the balm’s rinse leaves behind: sweat residue, water-soluble pollutants, and the emulsified film. It is also the step where most double-cleanse routines inadvertently damage the barrier they just preserved.
Healthy skin maintains a surface pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Above pH 6.0, the activity of barrier-repair enzymes is reduced and the structural equilibrium of stratum corneum lipid lamellae is disturbed — and the skin needs 30–90 minutes to recover. Cleansing Foam is built on amino acid-derived surfactants (Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate) that cleanse completely at a skin-compatible pH 5.0–5.5, leaving the skin immediately ready to receive actives.
